1. What is the ISBNFT Registry?

2. What is an ISBNFT Certificate?

The Blockchain Verified IP Certificate serves as Proof of Registration with the International Standard Blockchain Non-Fungible Token (ISBNFT) registry. The name registered with this NFT, on this respective date, is the beneficiary of all the rights and privileges granted by ISBNFT. The number below is the unique identifier associated with this registered NFT.

Some collectors, creators, and authors also want us promote their IP on our channels, websites, and social media posts via tagging or linking. 4. What is NFT Minting? (IP/Cover and Certificate)

At Blockchain Life we publish and protect your IP (Intellectual Property). We accomplish this for authors by converting their digital assets into NFTs and minting them to the blockchain.

5. What is NFT Minting? (ISBN)

At Blockchain Life we publish and protect your IP (Intellectual Property). We accomplish this for authors by converting their digital assets into NFTs and minting them to the blockchain.

6. What is ISBN/Publishing*?

Every book should have an ISBN. According to Bowker, there are many reasons for an author to purchase an ISBN:

• • An ISBN improves the likelihood your book will be found and purchased
  • An ISBN links to essential information about your book
  • An ISBN enables more efficient marketing and distribution of your title
  • Most retailers require ISBNs
  • Correct use of the ISBN allows different product forms and editions of a book, printed or digital, to be differentiated clearly, ensuring that customers receive the version they require
  • An ISBN helps you collect and analyze book sales data
  • An ISBN ensures your book’s information will be stored in the Books In Print database
  • Books In Print is consulted by publishers, retailers and libraries around world when searching for title information
  • The ISBN conveys no legal or copyright protection, however, the use of ISBNs for publications is prescribed by law in some countries
  • In some countries a book will be charged higher tax if it does not have an ISBN
  • ISBNs are the global standard for book identification

Bowker charges $125 for a single ISBN. We provide an ISBN at no charge for authors who register with ISBNFT.

If authors already have an ISBN number when they register with ISBNFT, then they do NOT receive an ISBN. (There is no need for them to have another one. They already have a publisher.)

*If authors do not have an ISBN number when they register with ISBNFT, then Blockchain Life will become their publisher and we will assign 1 ISBN. If additional ISBNs are needed for that respective title (i.g. an ebook or hardcover version) then the author simply requests another one, up to 3 total. The author's 2nd or 3rd ISBN must be the same book title.

7. What is Library of Congress Control Number Application & Filing?

A Library of Congress control number (LCCN) is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress assigns to the catalog record created for each book in its cataloged collections. Librarians use it to locate a specific Library of Congress catalog record in the national databases.

The LCCN number differs from the ISBN number in that an ISBN is assigned to each edition or format of your book while the Library of Congress number is assigned to the work itself.

This is a two-step process and can take anywhere from one to two weeks to complete. Although obtaining an LCCN is FREE, the application and filing can be cumbersome and confusing for many authors. Some authors struggle and complete the application incorrectly. Other authors give up after several hours. As a result, we include the LCCN application and filing as part of the ISBNFT author process. We pay our professional team to complete the application and filing correctly.

After we send the LCCN to the author, he or she is responsible to mail a physical copy to the LCC according to the simple instructions we provide as stated by the LCCN.

8. What is a Complimentary Second Mint?

Blockchain life retains possession of the original NFT like the library of congress to validate you as the original owner, however we will create an additional NFT of your book cover(s) and transfer to you. You may keep, sell, or transfer the NFT(s) as you see fit. You will receive a private form that will allow us to capture digital wallet information. We will provide assistance on an as needed basis.

9. What is a Barcode?

Barcodes are a requirement for selling print books through major retailers

A barcode is the graphical representations of a book’s ISBN and price. Barcodes are used on physical books, allowing them to be machine read, and facilitating automated sales and inventory tracking – a requirement for most large retailers.

To receive a barcode, you'll need your book's ISBN and pricing information.

• • Authors who already have an ISBN still need a barcode. ISBNFT will provide them with one.
  • Authors who do not have an ISBN or barcode will be provided one from ISBNFT.

Most companies charge $25 per barcode. At ISBNFT, we provide authors with a barcode at no charge when they register with ISBNFT.

10. What is a ISBNFT QR Code?

QR Code is a two-dimensional version of the barcode, typically made up of black and white pixel patterns. They have found their way into mobile marketing with the widespread adoption of smartphones. "QR" stands for "Quick Response", which refers to the instant access to the information hidden in the Code.

At ISBNFT we encourage authors to place their custom QR Code on the back cover of their books. Each unique QR Code will send readers to the author's Blockchain Verified IP Certificate, which proves the author's ownership of the intellectual property. It's an added layer of verifiability and visibility for the entire world.

All readers need to do is scan your QR Code with their smartphone. When readers open their camera app on their mobile phone and hold it over a Code for a few seconds a notification pops up. This notification leads your readers to your ISBNFT.
